The Walther CP 88 produced by Umarex is the progenitor of the very successful series of famous semi-automatic pistol replicas operating through the convenient 12 gram disposable CO2 cans. It is the first model and the models that followed it have maintained the exact same mechanical configuration. The only adjustment that Umarex has decided to make in the other models concerns the opening lever of the trolley, which in the CP88 does not automatically return to the closed position, but forces the shooter to close the gun by manually repositioning the lever. I have talked at length about the functioning of these pistols, which actually conceal a revolver mechanics from inside. The 8-stroke removable drum is inserted inside the trolley by advancing its front half, while the can is hidden in the butt. The capsule tensioner is masked to look like the lower base of the real weapon magazine. The operation is in single and double action, with external dog, the barrel is 4 "and the manual safety is the same as the firearm model, but does not have the function of blast chiller. The lever for disassembling the firing model, on the other hand, has the function of opening the trolley for loading shots. The hold-open lever is fake.
