Maxamet is an extremely hard powdered high-speed tool steel, developed specifically for use in Carpenter's steel mill rollers. Its properties transcend those of conventional high-speed steels and approach those of cemented carbides, the ultra-hard materials used to machine other steels.

This knife's PlainEdge blade, with its fully flat grind, takes full advantage of Maxamet's qualities, offering an unmatched combination of strength, low-friction cutting performance, edge retention, and point utility. It's housed in a handle with dark gray textured G-10 scales and integrated stainless steel liners that form the basis of its high-strength Compression Lock mechanism.
