The BFK ZERO is the compact folding knife of the series. For almost 30 years, Extrema Ratio has been making knives for those who can't afford them to break, and the ZERO was born from that same craftsmanship: milled scales for a firm grip, zero tolerances, the same mechanism as the BFK. Reducing a knife is simple: it's removed. Reducing it while preserving everything that matters is a project, and it's the work that defines the ZERO.

The mechanism
The heart of the ZERO is the same Crossbar Lock system as the BFK, which locks the blade in place when opening. It can be operated with just one hand, whether left or right, and when closing, it keeps your fingers out of the path of the cutting edge. Clean opening, controlled retraction; the lock locks in with a full sound, and the action becomes muscle memory within a few days.

How will you carry it?
In your pocket, with the clip. The clip is reversible and allows for full ambidextrous carry, keeping the knife discreetly positioned on the edge of your pocket. The proportions do the rest: a jacket pocket, a small jeans pocket, any space where the full size begins to make itself felt are the ZERO's natural territory. It's easy to draw: there's always a place for the ZERO.

One steel, five characters
The blade is made of N690, a balance tested over decades: hardness, resilience, and reliable performance year after year. The right steel for a knife that works every day. The scales feature five different characteristics. Choose your favorite:

BLACK and TACTICAL MUD (aluminum handle, burnished blade): The essential versions of the range: milled aluminum and light-absorbing burnish. The Black represents total essentiality, the Tactical Mud represents the same discipline, in a warmer tone.

GREEN (carbon fiber handle, stonewashed blade): The exposed carbon fiber texture combines rigidity and lightness; the stonewashed finish of the blade enhances its contemporary character.

AVIO (G10 handle, stonewashed blade): G10 does not absorb water, does not move in heat or cold, does not change size or surface over the years, remaining identical to the day you bought it. The shade is a dull and technical aviation blue, derived from the aeronautical industry, as the name suggests.

TOBACCO (Micarta handle, stonewashed blade): Micarta is the material that is most comfortable to use: it gains depth with time. It has the warmest character and color of the five.
