Codice 0166/BLK
The Black Caiman is a tactical knife that Extrema Ratio, official supplier of Comsubin, has developed and delivered to the GOI (Incursori Operative Group) of the Italian Navy.
Its name recalls and pays homage to the heroic Caimani Neri del Piave, the Arditi department of the Regia Marina and other members on a voluntary basis, who during the First World War swam the Piave to make incursions into enemy territory.
It is an automatic with a 4 mm “Spear Point” blade with asymmetrical grinding and partial sharpening of the counter-thread to increase its penetration coefficient. The toothing on the blade allows you to cut cables and highly resistant fabrics while preserving the sharpness. It is a medium folder with a sturdy structure. The thick aluminum grips, thanks to the numerous removal processes, make the knife light and balanced. The terminal part of the handle, which recalls the shape of the propeller / rudder assembly of the slow-running torpedo (SLC), serves to improve the grip for the rapid extraction of the knife from the pocket. The DLC-coated titanium clip can be positioned in three different angles on both sides, to allow maximum customization of the port.
Its shape is designed to minimize the size of the handle outside the pocket. The automatic blade release system guarantees complete opening even in the event of accidental impacts during rotation during opening. Among its features, in addition to the hard metal glass breaker, there is also a safety, which when inserted, protects from a dangerous accidental closure of the blade.
