Bodkin darts have a sharp tip made of hardened steel and are heavier than classic sport darts. Due to the greater weight and the hard tip, these darts have enormous penetrating power.
Although they do not have a true blade, these darts inflict much more serious injuries than sport darts. This, combined with the property of penetrating targets particularly well, makes these darts particularly dangerous. Therefore, special care is required when handling bodkin darts and better target butts are needed.
Caution: The target is literally cut through the sharp edges at the tip of the darts, Bodkin darts cause significantly more wear on the target than sport darts. For regular training, these darts are therefore only recommended to a limited extent.
